California Redwoods Birding Trail

California Redwoods Birding Trail

Del Norte County, on California’s wild Redwood Coast, has recorded more species of birds (421 as of 2007) than eighteen entire U.S. states and nine Canadian territories and provinces. The birding trail’s forty-four best viewing sites are marked throughout the county along a hundred-mile driving route.

Maps indicating the route and selection of birds that might be viewed are available at local chambers of commerce, visitor centers, and park nature stores.
