Wildhurst Vineyards

Wildhurst Vineyards

Wildhurst Vineyards began in 1966 when fifth-generation pear grower Myron Holdenried planted a former pear orchard with 30 acres of Zinfandel grapes. In the years since, Wildhurst’s handcrafted wines have consistently won top awards and high ratings, including an impressive Best Zinfandel of California in 2009 and Best of California in 2008 for the Wildhurst 2007 Reserve Sauvignon Blanc at the at the California State Fair Commercial Wine Competition. Winemaker Mark Burch’s commitment to produce handcrafted fruit-focused wines that showcase the quality of the Lake County winegrape growing region is evident in Sauvignon Blanc, his signature wine, and in the winery’s other award-winning varietals including Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, and Zinfandel. The winery’s friendly tasting room is located in the restored Odd Fellows Hall in historic downtown Kelseyville.
